Having a terrible toothache in the middle of the night is perhaps everybody’s worst nightmare. You will probably break into a cold sweat at the mere thought of it. Yet the fact remains that it can happen and to almost anyone and everyone. We must take proper care and precaution and see that above situation does not arise. However a dental problem can arise in spite of all our preventive measures. We can never predict any kind of health deficiency but a definite system must be available to help us in such situations.

To combat this situation almost all dental clinics these days have a panel of emergency dentists. This innovation was brought into the field of dentistry a few years back. Looking into the crisis filled situation this remedial measure was adopted. An emergency dentist is generally available at all times of the day and even on holidays. Hence their contribution to the dental community is immense. Their service must be adequately appreciated. We must be grateful that we have such a service available to help in our most critical moments.

However, most of these situations can be avoided by a having a regular check up routine with the dentist. Any irregularities will be spotted easily and treated at the correct time.
